Hi ! How's everything ?
I feel that I've finally managed to settle myself here in Tokyo.
Having spent 10 years in the States and England, I was thrown into this chaotic city in May.
It was very difficult to understand how things are managed here, even for the person
like myself, who had spent almost 30 years in Japan.
Therefore, I won't be surprised to hear that you are not very comfortably living in Tokyo
if you are not Japanese.
When I was living in the States or England, I was helped by many people. I'll never forget
the kindness offered by two British gentlemen who helped me changing bursted tires in a heavy rain
near the Hyde Park. I was also helped by many colleagues at the office in Broadgate,
where I was a dog's body of my Japanese bosses.
This is perhaps my turn.
Though I'm not quite sure what I can do for foreigners like you living in Japan,
I am happy to assist you whenever you need help.
I'm planning to list the points you may feel strange when you walk down the streets
in Tokyo in this page, which will be renewed monthly.
However, I know you may sometimes want to know ( and urgently ! ) how particular area of
the social systems works in Japan.
If I can be of any help, please do not hesitate to
contact me through E-Mail.
